Eddie flies to defence of ‘Manu sub’ Ollie

OLLIE Lawrence, the Worcester centre who made his debut in England’s Six Nations title grab in Rome last weekend, has been given the thumbs-up by Eddie Jones in the build-up to Saturday’s Autumn Nations Cup opener against Georgia at Twickenham.
Jones said of the stocky, powerful Lawrence, who came off the bench to play the final quarter against Italy: “He was good enough to be in the 23, and that’s pretty good. So, we’ll see how he handles every exam.
