We still don’t know why CEO Bill says Cain was wrong

THE £91m “sinkhole” deficit article by Nick Cain and the subsequent RFU denials has created much interest.
First up, RFU CEO Bill Sweeney dismissed the article as “totally incorrect”. Then the RFU PR machine persuaded President Jeff Blackett to draw a line under the matter in the TRP and explain to the nation that the Union’s “modest reserves” are in safe hands.
