LOUGHBOROUGH Students won a thriller against high-flying Fylde to close the gap at the top end of the table.
Loughborough were put under pressure by the away side from the off, but it was the home side drew first blood when Finlay McBrearty broke though Fylde’s pack in the first few minutes.
Loughborough were also granted another seven points midway though the half, when Tom Ffitch produced a blistering run from the half-way line and then kicked between the posts.
