Premature relegation devalues competition

THE Saracens debacle and the cut in Championship funding are significant, but are these the main issues to ensure the future of professional Rugby Union in England in the long term? I think not.
The 13 Premiership clubs are, and always have been, loss making and entirely dependant upon benefactors and borrowing. The CVC windfall is no more than a sticking plaster.
There are several clubs up for sale with no discernable interest. In my view, two steps would significantly assist towards achieving financial stability.
