TV deals may stall Boks arrival in 6 Nations

REPORTS that South Africa are planning to join the Six Nations are nothing new, not least because the size of the broadcast revenue from a new Seven Nations tournament, the vastly improved travel and timezone logistics, and the size of the South African diaspora in Europe, all add up.
However, what at the moment does not add up about suggestions that South Africa’s move from the SANZAAR camp to the Six Nations will happen in 2024, is that there are existing broadcast deals that could be a significant obstacle.
