Billingham shock as chasers scent blood

THE gap at the top of the table is closing as league leaders Billingham went down 35-26 in the shock of the day away to Sandal.
Sandal crossed for five tries to take the bonus point through Nick Carolan, who bagged two, Declan Thompson, Jimmy Stewart and Danny Grainger.
Harrogate, who were bonus-point 16-30 winners away to Kirkby Lonsdale, are now just five points adrift of the North East side. Kirkby scored just one try, through Dan Thompson, converted by Mike Fearon, who also kicked three penalties.
