Ellie’s late heroics take the sting out of Wasps

SUSIE Appleby hailed the desire of her players after a late Ellie Underwood try sealed a remarkable comeback victory away at Wasps FC.
A Lleucu Fflur penalty gave Gloucester the lead at the break after Wasps scrum-half Claudia Mac- Donald cancelled out winger Kelly Smith’s early try.
Second half tries from Edel McMahon and Sarah Mitchelson looked to have won it for Wasps but Natasha Hunt and a wonderful breakaway from Underwood proved decisive for the visitors.
