RORY Best has hit back at Ireland’s critics and insists they will be a force to be reckoned with under Andy Farrell.
Ireland endured a bitterly disappointing 2019 as they were ruthlessly dumped out of the World Cup by New Zealand and also lost to hosts Japan in the Pool stages.
But former Ireland captain Best, who retired at the conclusion of the tournament, believes Farrell is the right man to succeed Joe Schmidt.
