So it’s back to the real business of club rugby this week as we return to the Premiership and the serious matches. Europe may be the bigger stage and one where you achieve the glory, but surviving in the Premiership is what the modern professional game of rugby is about, particularly for all those clubs not playing in the Champions Cup. Let’s be honest, the Challenge Cup is a competition no club really wants to play in whether they are from the Premiership, Top 14 or PRO14.
