A DOMINANT forward display gave Chester a hard-fought win at Preston.
They began well enough as Shay Owen scythed over in the corner.
Mark Dixon missed the conversion from the touchline after nice hands in the backs had created the opening Hoppers cut the lead by three in the 14th minute with Nick Gregson slotting over from the ten-metre line after David Ford had been penalised for going off his feet.
