Bronze carries no glitter for men who have failed

CAN anyone explain the point of the so-called Bronze Final? The vast majority of players and coaches hate the idea of having to play another essentially meaningless match after being knocked out in the semi-finals.
Their hopes of winning the big prize have been dashed, they are dealing with the fall-out of four years of hard work not yielding the hoped for result, and all they want to do is get home, get things in perspective, and start to rebuild.
