Half-century for Caldy as Jones at the double

A MUSCULAR Otley side provided stout opposition at Paton Field as they held Caldy for 20 minutes before the visitors took the lead when Adam Malthouse barrelled over from a rolling maul and Ben Smith converted for 7-0.
The phrase ‘don’t poke the bear’ comes to mind as Caldy replied with a Gavin Roberts penalty that served to open the scoreboard floodgates.
Winger Ben Jones posted an early man of the match claim for the hosts on 27 minutes with a try to make the score 10-7.
