Switch-hitter Wyn gets the nod on technicality

WYN Jones is the unlikely figure set to become one of Wales’ most important World Cup players.
The Scarlets prop has been selected in Warren Gatland’s 31-man squad as a loosehead ahead of Rob Evans, below, but he will also act as emergency tighthead cover in Japan with Samson Lee missing the cut. Rhys Patchell will be back-up fly-half to Dan Biggar – concussion allowiing – with Jarrod Evans jettisoned for now. Lock Cory Hill is included despite being sidelined with a small fracture in his leg. Centre Scott Williams also misses out.
