HERSCHEL Jantjies can be South Africa’s secret weapon and lead them to World Cup glory, says former Springbok Werner Kruger.
Scrum-half Jantjies, whose two tries on debut inspired the Rainbow Nation to an opening Rugby Championship victory over Australia, played one game for the Scarlets as an emergency loan signing in 2017 alongside Kruger.
“Herschel was only with us at the Scarlets for about a week when we were touring South Africa in 2017,” said 34- year-old tighthead Kruger, who won four Springbok caps between 2011 and 2012.
