EDDIE Jones is far more experienced as an international head coach than most, so when he took only two scrum-halves to the 2015 World Cup when he was in charge of Japan it might have been because those were the only options he had.
It might also have been because he had other backs who could cover at No.9 – but whatever his reasons it worked out because he went back to Japan as a national hero after they beat South Africa.
