Spare a thought for us poor Wasps f

EXETER are still the true champions, says the headline on Andy Armitage’s letter in last week’s Rugby Paper. Now Chiefs fans know how Wasps supporters felt when second-placed Exeter won the title in 2016.
In fairness the Chiefs had the same points total as Wasps in the Premiership – and Wasps were masters of coming up the blind side to snatch the title from top-placed Leicester, Gloucester and Bath in the 2000s.
I just hope the Premiership doesn’t become a two-horse race between Exeter and Saracens like it is in the money-mad world of Premier League football.
