Well done to Ben Kay for his comment on the Leinster v Ulster Champions Cup quarter-final, saying that it was played at ‘better than Test match intensity’. It’s another step towards the demystification of international rugby, and long overdue.
The quarter-finals were at least as good as what was served up in the Six Nations, andfor me, more fun to watch. The crowds might have been smaller, but everyone was there for the rugby, not the corporate hospitality or the Mexican waves!
