STEVE Diamond admitted his Sale team got the “rub of the green” in this tough encounter.
The Sale boss said he had put his players “on their toes” to deliver a win after a Monday meeting following the 67-17 defeat at Northampton last Saturday.
Diamond said: “We started well and got our noses in front. We did get a bit of the rub of the green early in the second half when that try was disallowed for a forward pass. But we deserved to win.”
