Rory is still clambering along the peaks to his rugby Everest

RORY Best’s double falls into the unbeatable category, beating the All Blacks in Dublin one day and appearing at Buckingham Palace less than 48 hours later to receive the OBE from Prince Charles. At 36, the oldest captain in the game flits from one Himalayan peak to another.
All being well, he ought still to be at the helm for the attempt on the game’s equivalent of Everest at the World Cup in Japan next year. Best is third on the alltime list of old captains, behind two Scots and an Argentinian.
