Thorburn gives Doddie plea the boot!

THEWelsh Rugby Union may have been shamed into making a donation to Doddie Weir’s charity raising funds for research into Motor Neurone Disease but one of their old captains made his gesture without any coercion.
Paul Thorburn has two notable claims to fame which have endured now for more than 30 years. He is the only Welsh captain to have finished on the podium at a World Cup, in 1987, and the record he set the previous year for the longest penalty in the Five-Six Nations still stands.
