Holder at the double as Salop push hard

SCUNTHORPE made it seven wins out of eight as the Midlands Premier leaders maintain their grip on top spot with a 24-17 victory at Nuneaton.
Having controlled the first half, two Scunthorpe tries saw them lead 17-5 at the break. But, despite Nuneaton hitting back, the leaders held on.
Newport Salop moved back up to second as they beat Sheffield 31-20, while Bridgnorth were defeated at Lichfield.
Three early tries, two from Liam Holder and one from Henry Vaka put Newport in the ascendancy, but a Ianto Jones try and two penalties kept Sheffield in touch at 17-13 at half-time....
