IT might be rather premature to talk of relegation battles but Bedwas picked up five crucial points after their victory over Cross Keys in a thrilling contest at Pandy Park.
The visitors were clinical and their dominant scrum was an impressive platform.
Bedwas battled back from an early 17-3 deficit to lead 24-17 at the interval thanks to two tries by gifted scrum-half Tom Rowlands and a touchdown from openside Nathan Hudd while full-back Joe Scrivens converted all three and nailed a firstminute penalty.
