Big final month can set Simmonds up for World Cup – Baxter

SAM Simmonds faces an uphill battle to feature at next year’s World Cup but Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter is hopeful he will return before the end of the season.
Simmonds, 23, has been ruled out for between six and nine months after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament against Worcester last weekend.
Simmonds, below, who has scored five tries this season, was not included in the most recent England training squad but he has been in excellent early season form for the Chiefs and was pushing hard for a place in the Autumn squad.
