DISCARDED scrum ace Dan Cole will ensure England’s titanic battle of the tight-heads intensifies this autumn, according to former Red Rose No.3 Paul Doran-Jones.
Leicester’s 82-cap veteran was a shock omission from England’s recent training squad, with Kyle Sinckler, Harry Williams and Worcester newbie Nick Schonert preferred instead.
Schonert missed the camp with a dead leg but is highly rated by Doran- Jones, who reckons English tight-head stocks have never been higher going into a World Cup.
