Sheedy taking big steps under Madigan guidance

CALLUM Sheedy drops to bench this week but is poised for more game time after impressing coach Pat Lam wearing the No.10 jersey against Northampton last weekend.
The 22-year-old received a last minute call-up to replace Ian Madigan after the Ireland international failed a late fitness test on his hamstring.
The Bears fell to their first Ashton Gate defeat since going down 38-34 to Jersey in the Championship, but Sheedy kicked 15 points in the 45-40 loss and impressed with his passing and kicking skills.
