Top players may miss new Cup over tackle ban fears

ANGRY Championship clubs may withdraw top players from the forthcoming Championship Cup following the RFU’s refusal to facilitate a ‘competition specific’ disciplinary regime.
A tackle height trial law is scheduled to take place in the second-tier Cup competition, with the 18-match Pool stage starting on November 10 and running for six weeks until December 15.
