PRE-SEASON promotion favourites Sedgley Park made a winning start in a hard-earned bonus-point victory at Huddersfield’s Lockwood Park.
The visitors withstood intense pressure to cling on late doors as Tom Hodson scored for the hosts and Nathan Rushton was shown a red card.
Tigers created all the early pressure and were rewarded when hooker Dan Maher forced his way over. The home side hit straight back when fullback Hodson chipped deftly through for new boy Kian Stewart to touch down.
