Spurs get the cold shoulder from RFU

TOTTENHAM have been knocked back by the RFU in an attempt to use Twickenham to host one of their biggest games of the new Premier League season.
Spurs last week admitted that building work on their new ground is running behind schedule and they needed somewhere to play Man City at the end of October.
Wembley Stadium isn’t available because of an NFL game and Tottenham approached the cash strapped RFU about the possibility hosting the game for them.
