NEWCASTLE continued to build for the start of the new season with a comprehensive defeat of European and PRO14 champions Leinster in Dublin.
Playing a high-tempo game, Newcastle built a 21-7 half-time lead and refused to let the pace drop.
They had the lead inside ten minutes, Tom Penny collecting a Toby Flood offload five metres out after a multi-phase attack.
