AERIAL challenges are becoming a headache for match officials because the law at the moment is an ass. How can one player be any more culpable than another player in an aerial contest when both have their eyes fixed on the ball?
It is a nonsense to allocate blame on the basis that one player launches himself skywards a nanosecond earlier than another and then falls awkwardly.
Why are they any less guilty of being reckless than the other player going for the ball in good faith?
