MICK Lockwood (TRP May 6) describes the ‘arrogance’ of the RFU in their aim to place potential England head coaches in charge of Tier 2 Test teams as one means of helping their development.
He’s right. New Zealand had no need to ask other nations if they would take upand- coming coaches to see if they might be future All Black coaches; or to direct where the likes of Warren Gatland and Joe Schmidt should go to further their rugby education.
