All six of my England caps came as a Swansea player between 1981-84, even though it was a good five or six years later while at Bath that I played the best rugby of my career. It was quite strange really, during Bath’s heyday about a dozen wingers were capped for England and I wasn’t. Stuart Barnes was in a similar predicament at flyhalf and clearly disappointed not to get more caps.
