Callow settles thriller with a late winner for Bedwas

A MIKE Callow try after 76 minutes clinched a hardearned win for a resolute Bedwas over Cardiff at the Bridge Field.
After 15 minutes, the hosts opened the scoring as Matthew John forced his way over in the corner.
Cardiff hit back with a Gareth Thompson penalty, but Bedwas replied almost instantly via an Andrew Waite.
Cardiff winger Llywarch ap Myrddin then collected a pass following a Dan Fish break and with Thompson’s conversion, Bedwas were two points to the good at the break.
