MERTHYR were made to fight hard for their win against a resilient Neath side who have improved massively in recent weeks.
Neath took the lead on two minutes after a mazy run from Ed Howley who converted his own try.
Merthyr hit back when former Neath skipper Lee Evans scored in the corner.
Neath were given few opportunities by a strong Merthyr side so when they were awarded a penalty 40- metres from goal, Howley did well to convert.
However, there was still time for Merthyr to score their second try, Josh Martin sprinting down the win...
