Saints make Symons bid

NORTHAMPTON have made a last minute bid to stop Andy Symons from joining Newcastle Falcons next season.
We reported a couple of weeks ago that the Gloucester centre, 26, was wanted by the Falcons as a replacement for Edinburgh-bound Juan Pablo Socino.
Saints, who this week revealed that they are undertaking a massive clear out of players at the end of the season, are believed to have made Symons a late offer.
