IAN Costello hopes this win in the mud on a filthy wet night will give his Nottingham squad a springboard into finishing the season on a high.
Nottingham face a run of six Championship games to finish the campaign including games against the top three in Bristol, Ealing and Bedford, the latter visiting Lady Bay next Sunday.
“A win is just what we wanted,” Costello, the head coach, said after this final pool match in the British and Irish Cup which was first postponed in December.
