Penalty for breaching cup rules

WASPS have been punished for playing too many loan players in last month’s Anglo-Welsh Cup game against London Irish.
Wasps played six loan players, rather than the permitted three, in the round-three match on January 27, which they lost 66-7.
They have been given a £2,500 fine, suspended until the end of the Anglo-Welsh season 2018/19, the Rugby Football Union announced.
