Polledri pushing for Test debut against England

JAKE Polledri was not expecting his Italy call-up so soon but the Gloucester flanker is now determined to impress Conor O’Shea even more to earn his first Test cap.
The 22-year-old was rewarded for his impressive performances since bursting on the Premiership scene this season by being named in a 34-man training squad ahead of the Six Nations.
“It was a massive shock. Every player that takes to the pitch every week wants to get to international level, so for me to do that and get the call-up is really exciting,” Polledri said.
