Championship still needs work despite Melville promises

HERE we go again about ring fencing the Premiership in December 17 edition of TRP.
Nigel Melville came in as RFU director of professional rugby and promised to sort things out for the Championship – but he has failed to do that and in my opinion made things worse.
The RFU in their wisdom have stopped the Championship playoffs – which really showcased the league’s top four teams in a fantastic event – in case it seems one of the chosen few is beaten by a good Championship side and promoted.
