A RED card for replacement prop Jake Pope proved crucial as Caldy secured a bonus-point win over Fylde.
Pope was sent from the field with the hosts trailing by five points but a penalty try and a Ben Jones score gave Caldy a comfortable winning scoreline. After Derek Salisbury’s early score for Caldy, converted by Gavin Roberts, Fylde were on top.
Caldy’s indiscipline was punished as fly-half Alex Dolly knocked over three penalties to give his side a 9-7 lead.
