ROTHERHAM legend Mike Schmid fears it will be a long road back for his old club if they drop out of the Championship for the first time in their history. Marooned at the bottom of the table approaching the halfway point of the season, the situation looks bleak for the Titans who only survived a stay of execution last year due to London Welsh going bust. Canadian No.8 Schmid made 163 appearances for the south Yorkshire club between 1997 and 2005, and coached them in their final Premiership season.
