Summer tour turns up trumps for new cap Beard

ADAM Beard admits the start of his first summer tour with Wales got off to a terrible start.
After struggling with an elbow injury in the run-up to the trip to the Southern Hemisphere, a niggling groin problem saw Beard miss the opening game with Tonga in Auckland.
But after making his international debut in the gritty win over Samoa, the giant second row says he’s now got a taste for rugby at the highest level. The former Wales U20 international, now 21, came off the bench in Apia to help Wales to a 19-17 victory.
