Confidence high despite Leinster stinger – Young

DEFIANT back rower Thomas Young aims to prove he is worthy of a first Welsh cap by helping Wasps clinch their first Premiership title since 2008.
After being called into Wales’ Six Nations training squad, Young was unable to break into a stellar back row containing Sam Warburton, Justin Tipuric, Taulupe Faletau and Ross Moriarty.
With those four on Lions duty in New Zealand this summer, Young looks certain to be summoned for June’s matches against Tonga and Samoa when stand-in head coach Robin McBryde names his Pacific Islands tour party.
