RIP David Perry, a giant of the game

SAD news to hear the loss of former England and Bedford captain David Perry from our ranks.
I served with him in 3 Para and to see this giant of a man dangling from a parachute was a sight to behold.
One of my tasks there was ‘Heavy-drop officer’, responsible for the dropping of vehicles on medium stressed platforms on to the DZ.
David was often referred to as needing a delivery platform all of his own!
A fine man and a sad loss.
