‘Mental health at risk over longer season’

BATH prop Kane Palma- Newport has blasted proposals to lengthen the English season, claiming it will increase the risk of star performers suffering from burnout and mental health issues.
Recently agreed season structure changes from 2019-20 will see summer Tests in July, while Premiership bosses want to retain the September start date while extending the campaign by a month to the end of June.
