Anglo-Welsh Cup needs to rethink playing rules

I’ve made no secret of the fact I don’t much like the Anglo-Welsh Cup in its present form, and the fact it is without a sponsor and with tickets for the final being given away, tells you how little love there is for it.
Today’s final will be shown on BT Sports, and I suspect the viewing figures will be embarrassingly low outside of Leicester and Exeter postcodes. Now we hear that, far from scrapping the competition, there are plans to expand it, possibly by bringing in the Irish and the Scots.
