London Irish statement on move to Brentford

appear one step closer to securing a move back to London with the news that Hounslow Council has said that rugby can be played at the new Brentford Community Stadium which is due to open in 2019.
The statement from London Irish read: “The Council's decision last night (9th February) is very encouraging news for London Irish and is a further step towards a return to our roots in London.
“The ability for a professional rugby club to also play at the new Brentford Community Stadium has always been a desire of the football club as it greatly improves the viability and sustainability of the stadium itself. London Irish share the same values and community ethos of Brentford FC which augers well for a future relationship.
“We now look forward to taking our discussions with Brentford FC to the next stage so that all can look forward to the stadium's completion and opening for the 2019/2020 season.
