Darryl Veenendaal signs new Nottingham deal

announced the re-signing of scrum-half Darryl Veenendaal for next season, after arriving at The Bay from last season.
The South African was previously a member of the Academy before going on to play over 150 games for the Blues.
The 26 year-old played all the games of his team this year, excepted one British and Irish Cup match.
He commented: “It was an easy decision really and what strengthened it further was that a lot of the guys are staying on here as well.
“I've been very happy with my season. It was a big move for me to leave where I was, having been there so long but I've enjoyed every minute of it and I'm looking forward to next year.”
Nottingham director of rugby Simon Beatham added: “Darryl came here with experience, that's why we got him here last year.
“This year, he's competed very well with Murray McConnell and I'd expect Darryl to push on a bit more in his second year and really show some of the form his is capable of.”
