Bath deny signing of Victor Matfield

Bath head coach Mike Ford has denied the club has signed Victor Matfield ahead of next season.
Reports in France yesterday suggested the Springboks lock had signed with the Premiership finalists on a one-year deal – with an option for a second season in 2017 – but Ford has told the Bath Chronicle it isn't the case.
He said: “No, we're definitely not looking at Victor Matfield. We're looking at recruitment in all positions all the time, but I don't know where that story has come from.”
