RFC won the Welsh by six points, but they won no trophy because somebody in the Union in their wisdom decided that the overall winners of the league would be decided by a play-off system between the top four teams.

Thus second placed RFC beat Cardiff RFC in the final last Sunday and were classed as champions and got a trophy with it.

This is a semi-professional league and a stepping stone for academy players to play for the regional sides. These teams have been playing since August and with these play-offs the season was extended to now nearly the end of May.

What example is this, especially to the younger players, to win the championship and receive no medal or trophy at the end of the season.

If the WRU want playoff games for revenue from the TV, then there should be two trophies.

This is another decision by the WRU and why again we are a laughing stock in .
